Vivienne specialises in conflict mediation, stress mentoring and relationship coaching for business leaders, and in the emotional and practical support of all those affected by redundancy – the leavers, the ‘firing managers’ and the ‘survivor groups’. With a background in consulting to the asset management industry, she has particular insight into the importance to high performance businesses of senior level skills in communication, leadership and critical relationship building.
Following a period with General Motors in the US, Vivienne spent three years as pensions investment manager of the £750 million Vauxhall Motors pension plans. In 1994 she moved to Mercer Investment Consulting to develop their continental European business, and in 2000 set up a new venture advising the emerging funds-of-funds sector in Europe. When the unit was integrated into Mercer's core practice in 2003, she decided to leave the company to pursue her interests in change agency, coaching and mediation. Since 2005 she has been mentoring and coaching clients principally in the areas of change, communication, relationships and conflict resolution.
Vivienne has an MA (Hons) degree from Edinburgh University and an MBA (Finance) from the Wharton School in the US. She holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Change Agent Skills and Strategies from Surrey University and is trained in Co-Active Coaching Fundamentals. She is a qualified Relate couple counsellor and an Accredited (SPCP) Mediator. Vivienne is a Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and an Affiliate Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
